Ismaël played two collegiate seasons with Laval University, where he was named to the RSEQ All-Rookie Team in 2022-23.
Following a 10.1 points and 6.2 rebounds 2023-24 season, Diouf averaged 18.3 points and 11.7 rebounds at the Final 8 Tournament, leading Laval to a national championship victory. Diouf was named to the Final 8 All-Star Team and earned the MVP title.
Diouf was drafted first overall by the Alliance in the 2024 CEBL Draft, making him the first Québécois player to be selected first overall in CEBL history.
