Aug 09, 2023

The Montréal Alliance is proud to announce a new partnership with Bayard Royal, a dynamic and innovative black-owned business. This collaboration marks a significant step forward the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship and fostering community empowerment.

Bayard Royal emerged victorious in the #AllezUp contest, organized by 0rijin Village, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting Black entrepreneurs and communities. During the competition, Black-owned businesses competed on social media platforms to secure the most engagement and support from their communities. As the resounding winner, Bayard Royal secured a one-year sponsorship with the Montréal Alliance, fully financed by 0rijin Village.

“This partnership with Bayard Royal represents an exciting opportunity for the Montréal Alliance to strengthen ties with the vibrant local business community and celebrate the diverse voices and talents that enrich our city,” said Annie Larouche, President of the Montréal Alliance. “We are committed to supporting and empowering local entrepreneurs, and this collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to create a positive impact both on and off the court.”

At the heart of Bayard Royal is a passion for creating delectable, spirit-infused cakes that pay homage to the multicultural essence of Montréal. Their culinary artistry blends the finest ingredients with a meticulous attention to detail, producing signature creations that showcase the richness of flavours and depth of cultural heritage.

“I am delighted to find myself among the partners of the Montréal Alliance for the 2024 season, as the first winner of the #AllezUP contest,” shares Frénie Jean-Baptiste, owner of Bayard Royal. “This sponsorship opportunity, made possible thanks to the ongoing support of initiatives orchestrated by 0rijin Village, marks an important milestone for Bayard Royal. I am grateful that the commitment and passion we put into our creations is benefiting from this great showcase offered by the Alliance’s outreach.”

Through this partnership, the Montréal Alliance reaffirms its dedication to social responsibility, diversity, and community engagement. Together with Bayard Royal and 0rijin Village, the Alliance aims to elevate the profile of Black-owned business and amplify their contribution to the cultural fabric of Montréal.
