Montréal Alliance Unveils 2023 Training Camp Roster, Fueled by Gatorade

Local players Elie Karojo, Saydou Sall and Wilfried Balata join the roster 

The Montréal Alliance announced Sunday its official roster for the team’s training camp, fueled by Gatorade, which runs from May 18 to 25, 2023 at the Verdun Auditorium. The Alliance also announced Sunday that local players Elie Karojo, Saydou Sall and Wilfried Balata will join the roster for the training camp.

 

A 6’7” forward, Karojo was part of the Alliance roster for the entire 2022 season, having not played after being injured in training camp. Karojo played the 2022-23 season with the UQAM Citadins, averaging 9.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 25.0 minutes per game. Also a 6’7” forward, Sall played the 2022-23 season with the Rouge et Or of Laval University, recording 10.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 27.5 minutes per game. A 6’4” guard, Balata played the 2022-23 season with the Academy of Art Urban Knights in the NCAA’s Division II, where he averaged 12.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 25.7 minutes per game.

 

The Alliance 12-player roster consists of four point guards (Wilfried Balata, Blake Francis, Bahaïde Haïdara, Alain Louis), one shooting guard (Ahmed Hill) and seven forwards (Nathan Cayo, Biniam Ghebrekidan, Treveon Graham, Mamadou Gueye, Elie Karojo, Saydou Sall, Aryan Sharma).

 

Of the 12 players, three played with the team in 2022 (Nathan Cayo, Elie Karojo, Alain Louis), two were selected in the 2023 CEBL U Sports Draft (Aryan Sharma, Bahaïde Haïdara), two players have NBA G League experience (Blake Francis, Treveon Graham) and five have CEBL experience (Nathan Cayo, Blake Francis, Mamadou Gueye, Ahmed Hill, Elie Karojo).
