Montréal Alliance announces signing of Christian Rohlehr and Evans Ganapamo

Ludgy Debaut and Marcus Ottey released from Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance announced Tuesday that it has signed international player Evans Ganapamo and Canadian Christian Rohlehr for the remainder of the 2023 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season. The Montréal Alliance also announced Tuesday that it has released French center Ludgy Debaut and point guard Marcus Ottey.

 

A six-foot-seven forward born in Montpellier, France, Ganapamo played the previous two seasons with Cape Town in the Basketball Africa League. The newest member of the Alliance averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in eight games this season. Ganapamo played the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons with Paris Basketball.

 

Ganapamo played 12 games with the Central African Republic national team between 2017 and 2021, including three African Cup qualifiers in 2017 where he averaged 18.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 33.3 minutes per game.  

 

A six-foot-10 center, Rohlehr played the 2022-23 season with Sabah in Azerbaijan, where he averaged 10.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 25.3 minutes in 35 games. Rohlehr played the 2021-22 season with Atletico Echague Parana, in Argentina, averaging 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.

 

Ganapamo and Rohlehr join Kemy Ossé, Alain Louis, Elijah Ifejeh and Nathan Cayo, all of whom are returning for their second consecutive season, Canadians Mamadou Gueye, Quincy Louis-Jeune and Biniam Ghebrekidan, U Sports draft picks Aryan Sharma and Bahaïde Haïdara, 2022 CEBL Second Team All-Star Ahmed Hill and Americans Michael Dixon Jr., Blake Francis and Treveon Graham as the 14th and 15th members of the roster for the 2023 season.
