The Montréal Alliance announced the return of dynamic guard Tavis “Pistol” Smith as the team bolsters its roster for the crucial final stretch of the regular season and playoff push.
Smith, who began the 2025 season with the Alliance before being released due to roster construction rules, returns to Montréal. The Detroit native had emerged as one of the Alliance’s top offensive weapons during his initial tenure, bringing explosive scoring ability and playmaking skills that quickly made him a fan
favourite at Verdun Auditorium.
The 25-year-old guard originally joined the Alliance after a standout season with MBK Handlová in Slovakia's top division, where he averaged 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists over 38 games.
