THE MONTRÉAL ALLIANCE UNVEILS ITS 2022 SEASON SCHEDULE

Feb 03, 2022

Montreal - In conjunction with the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), the Montreal Alliance unveiled its inaugural season schedule on Thursday, which includes 20 regular season games, including 10 home games, all played at the Verdun Auditorium.

The Montreal Alliance will kick off its season in Ontario against Hamilton on May 25, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. The team will then return to Montreal for its first home game in franchise history on May 29 at 4:00 p.m. against Scarborough. Two days later, the Alliance will be back in action at the Verdun Auditorium against Ottawa.

The Montreal Alliance's inaugural season schedule features the team's participation in the 2022 opening game of the CEBL. In addition, the Alliance will host the champions of the last two seasons, the Edmonton Stingers, on June 20, 2022. The Montreal franchise will also host every team of the league once during the regular season, with the exception of Newfoundland who will come to Montreal for back-to-back games on July 22 and 24. The Alliance will also visit each league opponent at least once, including two separate trips to Guelph.

"We are very much looking forward to be in action at the Verdun Auditorium. The season's
schedule makes it all official" says Annie Larouche, Vice-President of Operations. “In less than four
months, we will be playing our opening game and we are counting on you to make this inaugural season a success!”

The CEBL Championship Weekend will be held in Ottawa from August 10-14, 2022. The host team, the Ottawa BlackJacks, and the team that finishes first in the regular season standings will automatically participate in the Championship Weekend. The remaining teams will be playing the week before to determine the other two finalist teams in the championship. In addition to the exciting basketball games, the Championship Weekend will feature several festivities, including concerts showcasing local culture and artists as well as the LECB Awards Gala.
