POSITIVE RESULTS DESPITE LOSSES FOR OSSÉ

Feb 13, 2023

Alliance 2022 co-captain Kemy Ossé competed in the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) last week with the defending Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) champions, the Brampton Honey Badgers.

Ossé played a key role in an all-Canadian lineup that featured 10 players who played in the CEBL in 2022. Last Tuesday, in Brampton’s first game against Real Esteli, Ossé recorded 11 points, five rebounds and three assists in 19.5 minutes of play. Thursday, against Mexican team Libertadores, the Montrealer posted nine points et eight rebounds in 21 minutes of play.

Despite two losses to two of the best teams in the Americas, Ossé stood out with his three-point shooting (40.0%), rebounding ability (13 rebounds) and overall basketball IQ.

The Brampton Honey Badgers finish the tournament winless in six games while Real Esteli and Libertadores advance to the BCLA quarterfinals.
