MONTREALER JEFF DOSADO NAMED PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT FOR THE MONTRÉAL ALLIANCE

MONTRÉAL, QC. - The Montréal Alliance announced Friday that Jeff Dosado has been named to the team’s coaching staff as a Player Development Consultant. 

 

A native of Montréal, Dosado has a wealth of experience at all levels and is one of the most in-demand player development coaches in the United States. Most notably, Dosado has worked with the NBA’s Houston Rockets as a Player Development Coach during their two 2019 pre-season training camps and with their 2021 NBA Summer League team and veteran roster.

In August 2020, Dosado founded his own basketball organization, Los Angeles Prospects, which is dedicated to developing young student-athletes both on and off the court. The Montréal native also serves as the organization’s general manager.

 

From 2016 to 2020, Dosado served as Director of Operations for Best Coast Basketball, an organization offering young basketball players the chance to participate in high-level tournaments and training camps. The Los Angeles-based organization held clinics, training camps and tournaments in more than three countries, 12 cities and seven states. Dosado’s primary mandate was to provide general oversight, as well as promoting and recruiting for the organization.


During that same four-year period, Dosado worked as Program Director for Team Dream Academy, an organization dedicated to providing a well rounded academic and athletic experiences to youth in grades 2 through 8. 


The Montréal native also has coaching experience as the Head Varsity Girls Coach at Bishop Alemany High School in Los Angeles, CA (2021-Present), Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at (NCAA DII) American International College in Springfield, MA (2010-2013), Brookwood Elite in Montréal (2008-2010) and Vanier College in Montréal (2009-2010). 


As a Player Development Coach, Dosado has been instrumental in the development of athletes at every level, ranging from grassroots, High School, College, overseas professionals, WNBA and NBA. He has also made appearances as a Clinician at Coaching Clinics and has been a featured Player Development Coach at many of the nation’s top camps and clinics, notably at Chris Paul and John Lucas’ national events. 


As a player, Dosado played with Dawson College before moving onto NCAA DII American International College (AIC). Dosado played all four years at AIC and Captained the Yellow Jackets his Junior and Senior year, leading the team in minutes per game, 3PT%, assists and steals. He was also nominated for the Bob Cousy Award, given annually by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame to the top Men’s Collegiate Point Guard across Division I, II and III schools.

About the Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance is a professional basketball team competing in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The team will play all their home games at the newly renovated Verdun Auditorium. The CEBL begins its fourth season in May. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, more than 75 percent of its players during the past three seasons were Canadian, the highest percentage of any professional league in the country.
