Montreal Looks to Defeat Ottawa for a Second Time This Season

The Montreal Alliance returns to the Verdun Auditorium on Sunday afternoon as it hosts the Ottawa BlackJacks for the second meeting between the two teams this season. Sunday’s Superhero Game will feature $10 tickets for kids, $2 hot dogs, as well as contests and prizes for fans that dress-up as their favourite super hero!
Montreal enters the matchup with a 2-3 record after a hard-fought 82-80 loss to the Brampton Honey Badgers on Thursday morning. The Alliance battled the Eastern Conference leaders until the final basket in Target Score Time and will look to turn that effort into a winning result as it returns home Sunday afternoon.
The BlackJacks arrive in Montreal after falling 96-87 to the Alliance in the first meeting between the two clubs on May 23. Ottawa continues to be led by star guard Javonte Smart, while Montreal will once again look to Javon Freeman-Liberty offensively as several players continue to make an impact on both ends of the floor.
Sunday’s matchup marks another chapter in the growing rivalry between Montreal and Ottawa, with both teams looking to gain ground in the Eastern Conference standings.
