Montréal Alliance Unveils Schedule for 2024 Season

Jan 23, 2024

In conjunction with the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), the Montréal Alliance has revealed its 20-game schedule for the upcoming 2024 season, featuring 10 home games set to be played at the Verdun Auditorium. The Alliance highly anticipated home opener is scheduled for May 30 at 8:00 P.M., where they will face off against the Edmonton Stingers.

The Alliance season kicks off with two away games, first against the Bandits in Vancouver on May 23, followed by a matchup with the Saskatchewan Rattlers in Saskatoon on May 25. The team will then return to the Verdun Auditorium for three consecutive home games.

Throughout the season, the Montréal Alliance will engage in four matchups against conference rivals, the Ottawa BlackJacks, marking the highest number of clashes with a single team in the franchise’s history. Additionally, the team will play their first game against the Rattlers in Saskatchewan since its inaugural season in 2022 and host the Bandits in Montréal for the first time since the team relocated to Vancouver.

The CEBL 2024 Championship Weekend is scheduled to take place in Montréal from August 9 to 11. The host team, the Montréal Alliance, along with the top-ranked team from the Western Conference, will automatically qualify for the conference finals on August 9. Further details about the 2024 Championship Weekend as well as tickets info can be found at cebl.ca/championshipweekend.

CEBL playoffs will feature play-in games between the third and fourth-ranked teams in each conference. Winners will advance to the quarterfinals, challenging the second-best team in their respective conference. The fifth-ranked team in each conference faces elimination, unless Montréal ranks fifth in the East, in which case the fourth-ranked team will be eliminated.

Details of the 2024 broadcast schedule, including nationally televised games on TSN and RDS, will be announced at a later date. All games, including playoffs, will be streamed live on the CEBL’s OTT platform, CEBL+, on CEBL Mobile, the official app of the CEBL (available on Android and iOS devices), and on TSN+.

The CEBL conference model will remain unchanged in 2024, with the Calgary Surge, Edmonton Stingers, Saskatchewan Rattlers, Vancouver Bandits and Winnipeg Sea Bears forming the Western Conference, and the Brampton Honey Badgers, Montréal Alliance, Niagara River Lions, Ottawa BlackJacks and Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Eastern Conference.
