MONTRÉAL, QC – The Montréal Alliance is proud to partner with 91.9 Sports for the broadcasting of its 10 regular season home games during the 2022 season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). 

“91.9 Sports is proud to support any initiative aimed at promoting professional sports in Québec, and the interest in a basketball team in Montréal is a unique opportunity that we couldn’t miss out on,” said Yves Bombardier, Programming Director at 91.9 Sports. “As soon as the Alliance was announced, it was clear to me that our two properties had to find a broadcast agreement: something that was entirely shared by Annie Larouche. We are very pleased to offer this opportunity to listeners of Québec’s only sports station.”

“Since the arrival of the Alliance in the CEBL, it was essential to conclude an agreement with 91.9 Sports, the only sports station in the province,” said Annie Larouche, Vice President, Operations of the Montréal Alliance. “The representation of the French language throughout the CEBL is something that is very important to us. Partnering with a broadcaster such as 91.9 Sports will allow French-speaking fans across the province and the country to listen to our games in French.”

  Here is the list of games that will be broadcast on 91.9 Sports: 

• Sunday, May 29 at 4 :00 p.m. against the Scarborough Shooting Stars
• Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. against the Ottawa BlackJacks
• Sunday, June 5 at 4:00 p.m. against the Guelph Nighthawks
• Wednesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. against the Niagara River Lions
• Monday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. against the Edmonton Stingers
• Thursday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. against the Hamilton Honey Badgers
• Monday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. against the Fraser Valley Bandits
• Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. against the Newfoundland Growlers
• Sunday, July 24 at 4:00 p.m. against the Newfoundland Growlers
• Friday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m. against the Saskatchewan Rattlers

The broadcast will have a total duration of three hours, including a 30-minute pre-game and a variable length post-game. The broadcast team will consist of Kevin Vallée (commentator), Woodwendy Séraphin (analyst) and William Thériault (analyst).

About the Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance is a professional basketball team competing in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The team will play all their home games at the newly renovated Verdun Auditorium. The Alliance opens their inaugural season May 25 against the Honey Badgers in Hamilton. The season, comprised of 10 home games and 10 road games, ends August 1 when the team faces the BlackJacks in Ottawa. About the CEBL

The CEBL begins its fourth season in May. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, more than 75 percent of its players during the past three seasons were Canadian, the highest percentage of any professional league in the country. CEBL players bring experience from the NBA, the NBA G League, top NCAA programs, the Canadian National team program, top international leagues as well as U SPORTS.
