MONTRÉAL, May 18, 2023 – The Montréal Alliance announced Thursday the signing of Montrealer Elijah Ifejeh for the 2023 season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). Ifejeh played the team’s final two games in 2022, averaging 9.5 points, 5.0 rebonds and 20.8 minutes of play.

In 2022-23, Ifejeh played eight games with KB Prepca Mitrovice in Kosovo before joining the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans in the NBLC. In 25 games with Kitchener-Waterloo, Ifejeh averaged 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 14.1 minutes of play.

"I am incredibly proud and honoured to sign with the Alliance and represent my city of Montréal," said Ifejeh. "I’m ready to give my all on the court and show the talent that our city produces. I’m excited to reconnect with the best fans next Friday and I hope they bring the same Montréal energy they brought last season."

The six-foot-seven forward played the 2021-22 season with the Windsor Express in the NBLC. In 12 games with the Express, Ifejeh averaged 5.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Prior to joining the Windsor Express, Ifejeh played five collegiate seasons with Ranger College (2017-18), Hill College (2018-19), the University of Louisiana at Monroe (2019-20), Southeastern Louisiana University (2020-21) and Prairie View A&M University (2021-22). The Montréal native had his best season at Hill College, averaging 7.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Ifejeh joins Kemy Ossé, Alain Louis, Nathan Cayo and Elie Karojo, all of whom are returning for their second consecutive season, Quebecers Wilfried Balata, Mamadou Gueye, Biniam Ghebrekidan and Saydou Sall, U Sports draft picks Aryan Sharma and Bahaïde Haïdara, 2022 CEBL Second Team All-Star Ahmed Hill, and NBA G League players Blake Francis and Treveon Graham as the 14^th member of the roster for the 2023 training camp, fueled by Gatorade.
