Montréal native and team captain returns after a standout 2025 season with the Alliance

Montréal, QC  —  The Montréal Alliance is proud to announce the return of  Quincy Guerrier, as the Quebec product re-signs with his hometown club for the upcoming Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) season.

A foundational presence for the Alliance last season, Guerrier returns after establishing himself as both a consistent on-court performer and a respected leader within the organization. Serving as one of the team’s captains, he played a central role in shaping the group’s identity, setting standards through his work ethic, competitiveness, and commitment to the collective.

During the 2025 CEBL season, the 6-foot-8 forward was one of the Alliance’s most reliable contributors, averaging  16.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across 21 contests earning CEBL All-Canadian Team honors. Trusted in high-leverage moments, Guerrier’s versatility and steady presence allowed him to impact games in multiple ways while anchoring the team at both ends of the floor.

In addition to his role with the Alliance, Guerrier has continued to compete professionally throughout the year, including time with the  Raptors 905, the Toronto Raptors affiliate team. Through 18 games  in the 2025–26 NBA G League season, he is averaging 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game, further reinforcing his reputation as a dependable, two-way forward capable of adapting to different systems and roles.

“Quincy represents what this organization stands for,” said  Joel Anthony, General Manager and Co-Owner of the Montréal Alliance. “He’s a professional in every sense of the word — prepared, accountable, and invested in the group. His decision to come back speaks volumes about his connection to this team and to the city.”

Beyond the stat line, Guerrier’s impact was felt daily through his presence in the locker room and his approach to preparation. As a captain, he served as a steady voice for teammates and helped foster a culture built on trust, responsibility, and competitive consistency.

“Last season meant a lot to me,” said Quincy Guerrier. “I believed in the group we had and in the direction of the organization. Montreal is home, and continuing with the Alliance felt natural. I want to build on what we started, both on the court and by continuing to be involved in the community and giving back. Thank you to everyone for the support 🍭”

Born and raised in Montréal and developed at Thetford Academy, Guerrier remains deeply connected to the local basketball community. His return reinforces the Alliance’s commitment to building with players who are invested not only in winning but in representing the city with pride and authenticity. With Guerrier back on the roster, the Alliance continues to build around proven leaders who embody the values of the organization and the community it represents.

The upcoming season will
include 12 home contests for the Alliance at the Verdun Auditorium and a new league-wide playoff format that culminates in a best-of-three CEBL Final.

The Alliance will play its home opener on May 15 against the Scarborough Shooting Stars. For more information on available ticket packages, visit BASKETMTL.ca.
