FALIGANT NAMED ASSISTANT COACH OF MONTRÉAL ALLIANCE

Montréal, QC – The Montréal Alliance announced Tuesday that Jordan Faligant has been named assistant coach, in charge of data analysis and strength & conditioning for the 2022 season of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). 


Faligant currently serves as an assistant coach with Kayserberg in the Men’s National League 1 in France. Having won six of the last eight games, the French team currently holds a record of 13 wins, 18 losses and is ranked 21st overall. 


“I am honored and very excited to be part of this great organization that is the Montréal Alliance and to work alongside Coach Lavandier again,” said Faligant. “I would like to thank Joel Anthony and Annie Larouche for their trust. I look forward to working, sharing and learning with this new coaching staff and help the Alliance become a force in Canadian basketball.”


Prior to joining Kayserberg, the 25-year-old coach served as an assistant for Angers Basket Club 49 (2016-2017) and Union Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées (2017-2018). Faligant also served as video analysis manager for the Glasgow Rocks (2019-2020). 


From 2014 to 2021, Faligant served as a coach and technical referent with the Entente Sportive Andard Brain (ESAB) basketball team. 


Faligant has worked with Montréal Alliance Head Coach Vincent Lavandier on several occasions, including when Lavandier was head coach of the Glasgow Rocks, Union Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées and Angers Basket Club 49.

About the Montréal Alliance

The Montréal Alliance is a professional basketball team competing in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). The team will play all their home games at the newly renovated Verdun Auditorium. The Alliance opens their inaugural season May 25 against the Honey Badgers in Hamilton. The CEBL begins its fourth season in May. A league created by Canadians for Canadians, more than 75 percent of its players during the past three seasons were Canadian, the highest percentage of any professional league in the country.
