Player Development Coach

Maxime Paulhus Gosselin was named Player Development Coach of the Montréal Alliance for the 2026 season.


A Québec native, Paulhus Gosselin brings a unique blend of high-level playing experience, coaching, and leadership. He played collegiately in Québec before earning a scholarship to Davidson College (NCAA Division I), where he competed alongside Stephen Curry and helped lead the program through one of the most successful stretches in its history, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2008. He was also named Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.


On the international stage, he represented Canada at the FISU World University Games, earning a bronze medal, and previously won a provincial championship at Champlain College as a coach.


A graduate in sociology from Davidson, Paulhus Gosselin has remained deeply involved in the development of athletes and youth through sport. He is the founder of MaxKids, an initiative focused on building confidence and promoting healthy lifestyles, and spent several years as a basketball analyst with RDS.


An accomplished entrepreneur and coach, he has also contributed at the collegiate level with Champlain College, helping guide the program to a bronze medal. Known for his focus on decision-making, execution under pressure, and overall game understanding, Paulhus Gosselin adds valuable expertise to the Alliance’s player development staff.
