Assistant Coach
Jeff Dosado joins the Montréal Alliance coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the 2026 season.
A Montréal native, Dosado brings extensive experience across all levels and is widely regarded as one of the most sought-after player development coaches in the United States.
He has notably worked with the Houston Rockets in the NBA as a player development coach during the team’s training camps in 2019, as well as with their NBA Summer League team in 2021.
In August 2020, Dosado founded his own basketball organization, Los Angeles Prospects, which focuses on developing student-athletes both on and off the court. He also serves as the organization’s General Manager.
From 2016 to 2020, Dosado was Director of Operations for Best Coast Basketball, an organization that provides young players with opportunities to compete in high-level tournaments and training camps. During his tenure, the organization hosted clinics, camps, and tournaments across more than three countries, 12 cities, and seven U.S. states. He was responsible for overseeing operations, as well as managing marketing and recruiting efforts.
During that same period, he also served as Program Director for Team Dream Academy, an organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive academic and athletic experience for youth from grades two through eight.
Dosado has also held coaching roles as head coach of the girls’ team at Bishop Alemany High School in Los Angeles, California (2021 to present), as an assistant coach at American International College (NCAA Division II) in Springfield, Massachusetts (2010–2013), as well as with Brookwood Elite in Montréal (2008–2010) and Vanier College (2009–2010).
Throughout his career, Dosado has played a key role in developing athletes at every level — from youth programs to the NBA, including high school, CEGEP, university, and the WNBA. He has also contributed to numerous elite training camps and coaching clinics, including national events led by Chris Paul and John Lucas.
More recently, Dosado has continued his coaching career internationally, including as an assistant coach with the Taiwan Beer Leopards, where he contributed to a T1 League championship, before moving to the Taiwan Professional Basketball League. He has also previously held coaching roles with the Montréal Alliance and participated in high-level competitions such as The Basketball Tournament (TBT).
As a player, Dosado competed at Dawson College before moving on to American International College (AIC) in NCAA Division II. He played four seasons at AIC and served as team captain during his final two years, leading the Yellow Jackets in minutes played, three-point percentage, assists, and steals. He was also nominated for the Bob Cousy Award, presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to the top men’s collegiate point guard.
Recognized for his expertise in player development and his ability to mentor athletes at all stages of their careers, Dosado brings a global perspective and a wealth of experience to the Alliance coaching staff.
