Quincy Guerrier earns second consecutive CEBL All-Canadian honour

August 20, 2026

The Montreal Alliance captain adds another honour to a résumé that has taken him from Quebec basketball to the NCAA, NBA G League, and, ultimately, back home to Montreal.

Quincy Guerrier has been named to the Canadian Elite Basketball League’s All-Canadian Team for the second consecutive year.

The Montreal Alliance captain delivered another strong campaign in 2026, averaging 15.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists across 19 games, starting every contest. He also shot 49.6 percent from the field while averaging 29.0 minutes per game.

The honour follows a standout first season with the Alliance in 2025, when Guerrier averaged 16.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across 22 games before earning his first All-Canadian Team selection.

The recognition adds to an already accomplished résumé for the Montreal native, who has competed at several levels of North American basketball.

After developing at Thetford Academy in Quebec, Guerrier began his college career at Syracuse. As a sophomore, he earned Third-Team All-ACC honours, averaging 13.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while helping the Orange reach the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 2021.

He later played at Oregon and Illinois, completing five NCAA seasons with more than 1,600 points and nearly 1,000 rebounds.

Guerrier has also represented Canada on the international stage, including at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship and with the Senior Men’s National Team during the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers.

Following his collegiate career, Guerrier joined the Toronto Raptors organization. He participated in NBA Summer League with Toronto in 2024 and 2025 while also spending two seasons with Raptors 905, the Raptors’ NBA G League affiliate.

Since returning to Montreal with the Alliance in 2025, Guerrier has brought that experience to his hometown team while continuing to establish himself among the CEBL’s top Canadian players.

His influence is also beginning to extend beyond the court. This summer, Guerrier took the first steps toward establishing his own foundation, partnering with Campus 803 for an event at the Verdun Auditorium for youth between the ages of 10 and 17.

Centred around basketball, education, and personal development, the initiative gave Guerrier an opportunity to share what he has learned with the next generation.

“Just being able to give back to the community and the younger generation is something that I really value,” Guerrier said. “I was in their shoes before, so it’s something really unique for me, especially being in Montreal.”

Now an established professional and captain in his hometown, Guerrier is using the platform he has built through basketball to make an impact both on and off the court.
