Montreal Welcomes Winnipeg for First Meeting of the Season

June 4, 2026

Montreal Alliance (2-4) vs. Winnipeg Sea Bears (3-3)
Friday, June 5, 2026 | 7:30 p.m. ET | Verdun Auditorium

The Montreal Alliance returns to the Verdun Auditorium on Friday night as it hosts the Winnipeg Sea Bears for the first meeting between the two teams this season. Friday’s Student Night will feature tickets starting at $20 plus taxes for students under 25, $5 beers through the end of the first quarter, and 15% off at the Alliance team store for fans who present a valid student ID.

Montreal enters the matchup with a 2-4 record through its first six games of the season. The Alliance has shown its ability to compete with some of the league’s top teams early in the campaign, relying on a balanced offensive attack, strong rebounding efforts, and an aggressive defensive identity.

The Sea Bears arrive in Montreal with a 3-3 record and currently sit second in the Western Conference standings. Winnipeg is coming off a loss to the Saskatoon Mamba and will also face Ottawa on Thursday night before travelling to Montreal.

Friday’s matchup will feature two of the CEBL’s most dynamic scorers in Javon Freeman-Liberty and Winnipeg’s Teddy Allen. Both players have established themselves among the league’s premier offensive threats early in the season and will look to make an impact.

With several close contests already behind them, the Alliance will look to turn strong performances into victories and gain ground in the Eastern Conference standings.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday night at the Verdun Auditorium.
