Lethbridge, AB — The Montreal Alliance continues its Alberta road trip Saturday night as it takes on the Calgary Surge at VisitLethbridge.com Arena in Lethbridge for the first meeting between the two teams this season.
Montreal enters the matchup with a 5-6 record following a convincing 95-76 victory over the Edmonton Stingers on Wednesday night. The Alliance delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, showcasing a balanced attack and a strong defensive effort on both ends of the floor.
Quincy Guerrier has emerged as Montreal’s leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 13.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Kevin Osawe, Michael Hughes II, and Davion Warren are also averaging double figures offensively, while Anthony Nelson continues to direct the offense with 7.2 assists per contest.
The Surge enter Friday’s matchup with a 1-10 record but are coming off their first victory of the season after defeating the Brampton Honey Badgers. Sean Miller-Moore continues to lead Calgary with averages of 21.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, while Javonte Brown adds 11.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest.
Friday’s game marks a unique stop on Calgary’s schedule as the Surge host the contest in Lethbridge rather than at their usual home venue. It also represents another opportunity for Montreal to return to the .500 mark as the club concludes its Alberta road trip.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. MT (9:00 p.m. ET) at VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
