Montreal Alliance Enters Next Phase of Season with Key Contributors Returning

June 13, 2026

MONTREAL, QC – The Montreal Alliance announced today a roster update as the team

prepares to enter the next phase of its 2026 campaign ahead of Saturday's road game

against the Niagara River Lions.

The club thanks Javon Freeman-Liberty for his contributions during the opening weeks of the season and wishes him continued success in his next opportunity.

Freeman-Liberty joined the Alliance at a pivotal moment for the organization, helping provide stability and leadership while the club managed injuries and roster absences throughout training camp and the early stages of the season. In nine games with Montreal, he averaged 20.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game while shooting 54.0% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.

"We are grateful to have had the opportunity to benefit from Javon's contributions at the beginning of the season," said Montreal Alliance General Manager and Co-Owner Joel Anthony. "He played an important role in helping create positive momentum for our group and was a valued member of our organization. We thank him for his professionalism and commitment and wish him nothing but success in his next opportunity.

Saturday's matchup in Niagara is expected to mark the long-awaited CEBL debut of Montreal native Keeshawn Barthelemy, who missed the start of the season after suffering an injury during training camp. A former Canadian national team member, Barthelemy spent five seasons at NCAA Division I programs Colorado and Oregon before beginning his professional career overseas.

The Alliance is also expected to welcome back Lue Williams III after sustaining an upper-body injury, providing an additional boost to a group that continues to establish continuity across its roster.

With key contributors returning to action, Montreal remains focused on building on the foundation established during the opening month of the campaign and continuing its push toward a playoff position.
