Alliance loses a heartbreaker, 93-92, in thrilling battle with the Bandits

The Montreal Alliance came up just short Friday night, falling 93-92 to the Vancouver Bandits after a tightly contested matchup at Langley Events Centre.

Jack Hemphill and Blondeau Tchoukuiegno led the Alliance with 17 points apiece, while Kevin Osawe, Prince Oduro, and Keeshawn Barthélémy each chipped in 13.

The Bandits mounted a fourth-quarter comeback, using a 37-point final frame to secure the victory in the closing moments. Despite the result, the Alliance shot 46 percent from three-point range, finished with 23 assists, and matched Vancouver with 46 points in the paint.

Tyrese Samuel led the Bandits with 24 points, while Jarell Eddie added 18 points. James Karnik contributed a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Alliance concludes its western road trip on Sunday, July 19, when it takes on the Winnipeg Sea Bears at 6:00 p.m. ET, before returning to the Verdun Auditorium on Friday, July 24, to host the Ottawa BlackJacks.
