Niagara, ON — The Montreal Alliance heads to Niagara on Saturday night looking to build on one of its strongest performances of the season as it takes on the Niagara River Lions at the Meridian Centre.

Montreal enters the matchup with a 4-5 record after a convincing victory over the Eastern Conference-leading Brampton Honey Badgers on Wednesday night. The Alliance continues to build chemistry with recent additions Davion Warren and Anthony Nelson, while Lue Williams III returns to the lineup and Keeshawn Barthélémy is set to make his Alliance debut.

Michael Hughes II has remained a key presence in the paint, averaging a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.

The River Lions enter Saturday’s contest with a 3-5 record and currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. Niagara will be boosted by the return of two-time reigning CEBL Finals MVP Khalil Ahmad.

Saturday’s matchup carries added importance in the Eastern Conference race as both teams look to gain ground in the standings. With only one game separating the clubs entering the weekend, every result becomes increasingly important as the season progresses.
