Alliance Fall 90-87 to River Lions in Tight Road Battle

The Montreal Alliance came up just short Sunday afternoon, falling 90-87 to the Niagara River Lions after battling throughout a tightly contested matchup.
Montreal built a lead as large as nine points and remained within striking distance until the closing minutes before Niagara closed it out in target score time. Keeshawn Barthélémy paced the Alliance with a season-high 22 points off the bench, shooting 75 per cent from the field and knocking down four three-pointers.
Kevin Osawe continued his strong stretch with 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Blondeau Tchoukuiegno filled the stat sheet with 15 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Jack Hemphill added 13 points and seven rebounds in another encouraging performance as he continues to settle into Montreal's lineup.
The River Lions were led by Khalil Ahmad, who scored a game-high 28 points, while Kyle Vinales added 14 points and five assists. Niagara shot 52 per cent from beyond the arc to secure the victory.
