Alliance Ends Regular Season with Heartbreaking One-Point Loss

The Montreal Alliance erased a 12-point halftime deficit and came within one point of completing the rally on Thursday night, ultimately falling 90-89 to the Brampton Honey Badgers at the CAA Centre.
Despite facing its largest deficit of the night at halftime, the Alliance responded with its best stretch of basketball after the break, outscoring Brampton 32-17 in the third quarter to take a 66-63 lead into the fourth.
Lue Williams III led the Alliance with 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Quincy Guerrier added 15 points, while Prince Oduro scored 14 points on an efficient 7-for-10 shooting performance and grabbed seven rebounds.
Montreal finished the night shooting 51.4 percent from the field while scoring 56 points in the paint and recording 19 assists. The Alliance also forced 13 turnovers, converting them into 18 points.
Although the regular season has come to a close, the Alliance's playoff hopes remain alive. Montreal will clinch the final Eastern Conference playoff berth if the Ottawa BlackJacks lose both of their remaining regular-season games.
